How To Write Headlines That Grab Peoples Attention

Posted in marketing, online marketing at 5:06 pm

Getting people to see your ad and actually read it plays a huge part in your ads success rate. Your ad headline will either make or break your ad. I find a lot of people who market online do not take the time to come up with good quality headlines that will grab a reader’s attention, and make them click on it to learn more. Then they wonder why there ads are performing so poorly.

Even someone who is unskilled at writing can easily crate some very good headlines. It’s not that hard, but it does take some practice. Once you get the hang of it though, and create a few headlines the ideas will start to fly in from all over the place.

When you go to create attention grabbing headlines think outside the box. Try not to use headlines that you see all the time all over the place. These are over used, and the average person is probably so use to seeing them. In the end this will only lead to you ad getting a low click through rate.

I personally like to use www.aminstitute.com/headline/ this site allows you to type in a headline and it will analysis it for you. After it’s finished it will give you a score from 0 – 100%. Most people will have a score right around 20 – 30%. I usually aim for 50% or higher.

Another good method for creating attention grabbing headlines I like to use is checking my email to see what other people have come up with. If you take sometime each day and look at your junk email you might actually find some really good headlines. Write down the ones you think are good, and then start to use them your self. Or try to make the headline even better.

Finally if none of the above seems to help you out you can always buy a professional book that will teach you how to right attention grabbing headlines, or take an English course. These two methods though will probably cost you some money.

So the next time your posting your ad take a good hard look at your headline, and ask you self this question. Would you click on it?

Well I got my green screen in the mail the other day so today I recorded a video using some of the methods of Web Video University.

You probably do not have the Flash Player installed for your browser or the video files are misplaced on your server!

A YouTube Account Is A Must Have

With online video growing ever so more popular and away to get high amounts of targeted traffic to your website a YouTube account is a must have for any marketer. If your camera shy or don’t like to talk in your videos you should still create an account.

Whiteboard videos can be easily created without you standing in front of the camera and you don’t even have to say one word, but can still get your message across to the masses.

Now after looking at a number of different YouTube accounts, and researching what it takes to get a lot of video views I’ve come to the conclusion that you first off need to get people to subscribe to your YouTube page. Subscribers will get an email and are notified each and every time you post a new video. This will get you almost instant traffic to your video.

The second most important thing is discussion. Your video must have some comments if you wish to increase your video views. If you get a lot of comments your view might even make it to the most discussed page and be seen by even more people

This can all be done with very little work and effort on your part, and the benefits of it could be huge for you. So if you haven’t already done so sign up for a free YouTube account and start cranking out 1 or 2 videos a week.

“Update about my video”

I’m waiting for my new green screen I order to come in. It should be here today or tomorrow, and once I do get it I will record a video using the new methods I’ve learned in Web Video University and post it here for you to see.
