If you own a website you probably know how hard it can be to get visitors to your site. You also probably know that getting website traffic is the key to running a healthy and profitable online business. Without traffic your online business will not last very long.

Now getting good website traffic can cost a lot of money, and most people who are just starting out more then likely do not have the money to pay for advertising. So they need another option, and that is where free and easy traffic comes in.

One of the biggest myths out there is that most people think free or cheap traffic does not convert into leads or sales. This is completely false. Free traffic does work, and it actually works pretty well.

So how can you increase your web traffic for free?

• Create videos and post them online. Video marketing is becoming huge, and sites like YouTube get millions of visitors each month. These are people just waiting to see your video and visit your website.
  
  
• Become an active member of a few forums. Forum marketing is probably one of the most unused methods. All you have to do is be active, and leave a link back to your website in your signature. The more active you are the more people will look at you as a leader in the industry.

These are all great methods of how to get traffic to your website for free. Each one of the traffic generation methods listed above will not cost you a dime, and can easily be done with little or no experience.

So you need to find what is called your target audience. A target audience will be a specific group of people who need or want what you are selling. These are red hot buyers.

For marketing you product I suggest starting off by doing a little article marketing. This method is also known as the bum marketing method, and has been around for years and is proven to work time after time. You should write reviews of the product, and other articles that just talk in general about what the product is and how it might help someone.
