Things You Need To Make Money Online

Posted in home business, work at home at 6:17 pm

Each year millions of people set out in hopes of making money online. Some succeed while others fail. That maybe hard to swallow, but it’s the truth. If you are looking to make money online there are a few things you will need before you get started that will greatly increase your chances of online success.

First and foremost you need a positive mindset. Those who think positive thoughts usually succeed because they are looking at the bright side, and good things come to them. However those people who tend to always look at the bad side of things usually never succeed, because they are to busy thinking about everything that went wrong. So make sure you are ready, and have a positive attitude when you are about to work online as it plays a major rule in your success or failure.

Next is the all important website. Most people hear the word website and ask “Why do I need my own website?” That’s a good question, and the answer is simple. You need to have your own website, because it shows you are serious. Anyone who is serious about making money online needs their own website. Using free hosting or other people’s websites doesn’t show that you are serious about working online and making money.

Another good reason why you need to have your own website is that you at one point or another you will begin to build traffic to this website, and if you don’t own the website then all your hard work goes down the drain if you ever decide to move to something else. Trust me I’ve done this before when I first started online, and I kicked myself for doing it.

Finally the last thing you will need is an auto responder. Now you might be thinking “What is an auto responder?” Good question. An auto responder is simply away to keep in contact with hundreds even thousands of people via email. Instead of emailing each and everyone person yourself an auto responder does it for you at the push of a button. This saves you a ton of time. You will use this auto responder to help build what is called an email list. If you may or may not of heard the old saying before, but all the gurus say the money is in the list, and its very true.

Now that you know the key things you need in order to have a successful online business your next step is going out and getting them, and putting each one into place. Remember though that the main one is having a positive attitude towards everything you do online, as good things happen to those who work, and put in their time.

Top Traffic Exchanges

Posted in free traffic, traffic exchanges at 4:48 pm

Over the past few months I’ve been increasing my usage of traffic exchanges. I’ll be honest and tell you I was never a really big fan of them. However over the last 6 or so months I’m starting to see just how useful traffic exchange can really be.

I’ve been testing my results for the last 2 months now, and have come to find 3 traffic exchanges that pull in leads, and generate sales.

  1. Startxchange
  2. TopSurfer
  3. Traffic Swarm

I’m a paid member at Startxchange as I figure this was the best way to test it, and they allow you to pay one month at a time. So I paid for just one month to test it out. Since my test it has enabled me to get almost 100 unique visitors to my website each day if I surf for about 25 minutes per day.

TopSurfer I decided to stay a free member as I really didn’t want to pay the monthly fee. However by simply surfing until I got to 100 sites (which took about 30 minutes to do) I’ve been able to get 20 unique visitors per day.

Finally the last traffic exchange on my list is Traffic Swarm. I’m a free member as I thought the $29.95 monthly fee was just too much to pay for a traffic exchange. Maybe I would have had better results if I was a paid member, but I was still pleased with the results I received as a free member.

Being a free member of traffic swarm and surfing only for about 15 minutes per day I was able to get 5 – 10 unique visitors to my website each day.

For each traffic exchange I was using a lead capture page and collecting leads, and giving away free gifts to help increase my conversion rate.

Hits Connect Review

Posted in marketing, hits connect, ad tracking at 1:44 am

I’ve always tracked my web stats using Google Analytics since it was free. However the only thing Google Analytics is really good for is showing you how much traffic your website is getting, and where it is coming from.

I wanted more out of my statics so I searched for a program to help me track my sales from start to finish, and that’s when I stumbled upon Hits Connect. At first I didn’t join, because I was still unsure if this is what I wanted.

After going back and forth for about a week I finally purchased a membership to Hits Connect for $19.97 as a Partner Membership.

Now I’ll admit when I first logged in I was a little confused as what to do, and how to set everything up. What made this process easier though was the “How it works video” they have in the back office. It shows you exactly how to set everything up. They also have a PDF file called “Training Manual” which I read over and it was very helpful. It basically goes over why you should track your stats, and gives you some good information on how to use Hits Connect to its fullest.

One of the main reason I joined Hits Connect was because I wanted to track what advertisements where making me sales. Now with Hits Connect allows you to place a very small line of code on your “Thank You Page” or whatever page the visitor will see after they buy your product.

In your back office it shows you exactly how much traffic you got from each site, but what I love is it shows you which sites (or advertisements) made you a sale! This is exactly what I was looking for when I set out to find a software program to help me traffic my sales and traffic.

Finally something I didn’t know Hits Connect offers is a page rotator. This is a great feature which allows you to rotate multiple URL’s on one website. I haven’t started messing around with this yet, but I will be in the next week or so.

For the money I spent it was well worth it as they do exactly what I was looking for.
