Things To Do To Make Extra Money

About a week ago I was visiting my mother who has been teaching middle school for almost 20 years. She was telling me how my step father lost his overtime pay, and had to take 1 day off per month without pay so there would be no layoffs in the company.

This just goes to show you how bad the economy is getting, and some experts believe it’s only going to get worse in the upcoming months.

My mother asked me what they could do to make extra money online. So this led me to create this blog post on what YOU can do to create extra money online from home in these rough times.

First you have to think of a skill you have. Almost everyone has some type of skill that can help other people. So you need to first find what you know or what you can do that will help others.

Here are 2 examples…

Example 1: My mother is a school teacher so I told her think of a problem most teaches have, and then think of away to solve this problem. If she can find a problem and find a solution to that problem she instantly has people ready to buy her solution to their problem.

Example 2: My step father is a plumber. I told him a lot of people don’t know how to do simple jobs around the house such as “how to fix a leaky toilet”, or “how to install a kitchen sink”. So I told him to write an e-book that teaches people how to do the little pluming jobs around the house such as the two I just talked about.

By him creating this e-book he will have found a solution that will not only help people, but it will also save them money since they will not have to hire someone to do the job.

As the saying goes there are a million ways to make a million dollars. Sometimes you just have to be a little creative and think outside the box. Not all the answers will just come to you. In fact I do my best thinking while I sleep. There have been hundreds of times where I wake up in the morning with new and crazy ideas.

If this happens to you wake up and write them down, and put your crazy ideas into action. Some will work and some will fail, but that is just part of business.

So remember, find a problem, and then create a solution for that problem. This will instantly get you people waiting to buy from you. Everyone has something they can take and turn into a product, and then sell that product online for extra money.

Easy Money With Affiliate Marketing

Over the past couple of months I’ve been working with some small affiliate programs at www.clickbank.com. I use to be big into affiliate marketing, but I was never a big fan of the low payout. I also always thought the only real people making out are the actual owners of the product.

Well over the last few months I’ve been pushing some affiliate products, and forgot just how easy it is to make some quick money. Sure the owner may still make most of the money, and do less work but if you need quick and easy money affiliate marketing is the place to go.

Before I share with you my data of my affiliate account you need to know that I’ve only been doing affiliate marketing part-time and only work at it 1 – 2 hours per day on it as I have a bigger project I’ve been working on.

• October 2008 – $1,485.68
• November 2008 – $1,241.41
• December 2008 – $749.98

As you can see for working only part-time and just a couple of hours each day it’s not bad for some extra income. Also as of today 1/13/09 I’m up to $757 for the month of January.

Now you can see each month dropped off a little bit, and that is normal since November and December are big holiday months and are the 2 slowest months for any home business.

So how can you do this?

Simple, first create an account at www.clickbank.com. Then choose which products you would like to promote. I usually pick the “making money” product since I know a lot about the topic. Then it’s just a matter of promoting your affiliate link or website.

If you need help starting out in affiliate marketing I highly recommend  Commission Blueprint. I bought this product about 3 months ago, and it offers great videos but also a great e-book that starts you out at the beginner level and slowly builds you up to the expert affiliate level.

Creating Your Own Product

It’s been awhile since my last blog post. I took some time off and got away from the computer. Sometimes you need to take a few steps back to go 5 steps forward and that’s what I did.

Now that I’m back its back to business and work

Today I want to share with you away where anyone can be successful. Most people won’t tell you, but the real money online is made in creating your own product/s. I’m sure at one point or another you joined some type of home based business and thought “man the owner of this must be making a lot of money!” Well they are .

Now a lot of people think creating their own product is hard. The truth though is its not. If you have an idea you can simply pay someone else to turn that idea into reality.

Yes there is an up front cost to do that, but think about the profits you will make in selling your great idea to others who want it or need it. Plus life is about taking risks, and if you don’t take risks in life you’ll never get very far. Some risks will fail, but others will be successful. So don’t be afraid to create your own product.

What are some benefits of creating your own product?

• You own it so you make the rules
• Sell it for as long as you would like
• You can sell it for as much or as little as you want
• Have other people sell it for you (affiliates) and make more money
• Use your product as a free give away to increase your leads

So now the next time you have an idea or one of those light blub moments turn it into an online product, and sell it for a profit. Trust me when I say people will buy just about anything online these days.
