5 Tips For Getting More Traffic To Your Website

If you own a website online then you know just how hard it can be to get traffic to your website. Today I would like to share with you 5 tips for getting more traffic to your website, and I’m not just talking about any old traffic. I want to help show you how to get laser targeted traffic.

Most businesses fail, because they lack targeted traffic. Now probably the quickest and easiest way to get high quality traffic flowing to your website is simply by using Google PayPer Click or some other type of search engine such as Yahoo, MSN, Ask, AOL etc. However this type of traffic cost money to get.

So what if you don’t have the money to spend to get this type of traffic? Well there are other ways you can get good targeted traffic to your website without paying for it, or paying far less then you would in PayPer Click.

#1 Safelists – A Safelist allows you to advertise your business for free to thousands of people each day. Most Safelists also allow you to post banner ads, and text ads which give you an even better chance of getting even more targeted traffic to your website.

#2 Article Marketing – This is one of my personal favorites. Writing articles are a great way to get targeted traffic back to your website. Simply write articles that are related to your business, and leave a link back to your website. Articles will also help build back links to your site which can help increase your overall rank and position in the Google search engine.

#3 Traffic Exchanges – These are another great way to get traffic to your website. The key to using traffic exchanges effectively is to not show them your actual website, but to show them a splash page that gives them a little information about your website, and leaving a button that says “Click Here” to visit your website. If people click your button you know they are interested in your website.

#4 Link Exchanges – This can take a little bit of work and time to accomplish. However if you can exchanges links with other websites that are related to yours this will not only help increase your website traffic it will also help you rank better for keywords in the search engines.

#5 Solo Ads – This is the only thing on my list that will cost you any money. Solo Ads offer a great way to get targeted traffic to your website at a very cost effective price. What make solo ads so good is that it’s a stand alone email sent to the contact address of people. So instead of your ad being sent with other people’s ads only yours will be sent. I’ve personally used these for years with great success.

So there you have it. 5 great ways for you to start increasing your websites traffic today. All of these ways are proven to work, and are very easy to setup and use. Just remember though the key to advertising is consistency, and don’t forget if you don’t advertise you won’t make any money online.

Affiliate Marketing Strategies

Affiliate marketing is probably one of the most popular and easiest ways to make money working from home. However chances are if your just starting out in affiliate marketing you might be wondering what to do, how to do it, and where to do it. I’m sure you want to receive some nice big paychecks in the mail just like the gurus do right?

Well today I would like to share with you some of the best affiliate marketing strategies that I know of, and personally use to help me earn $500 – $1,200 per month in affiliate marketing. They are easy to use, and most if not all of them coast absolutely nothing to do.

The first strategy I would like to discuss is by far the most powerful one to use. What is it? Well its article marketing of course. Article marketing has been around for years, and time and time again it continues to product results, and here’s why.

Your articles you write are targeted to whatever you are promoting which leads to very targeted traffic, and your articles are fresh content which the search engines just love so this gives your articles a great chance to rank organically in places like MSN, Yahoo, and even Google.

So what you need to do is write articles that are related to whatever it is you are selling. Then take these articles and submit them to article directories. A few top directories I recommend using are articlebase.com, buzzle.com, and ezinearticles.com.

Now the second strategy I would like to share is blogs. If you never owned a blog before, it’s about time you go out and started one. They are easy to setup, and anyone can create a blog for free at either blogger.com or wordpress.com.

Once you’ve setup your blog the next thing to do is start posting small blog posts about whatever it is you are selling/promoting online. Make sure you leave links back to your website. You can also even put banner ads on your blog for people to click on, and if you wanted to earn a little money on the side you could even try adding adsense to your blog as well.

Finally the last affiliate marketing strategy I would like to share with you is a little secret place I found a few years ago called usfreeads. I recommend becoming a paid member here (its $10/m). As a paid member you can post unlimited ads per day, and this will greatly increase your ad exposure.

The trick to making usfreeads successful is to post on a daily basis and post in all the categories under the work at home section. It’s really just a numbers game. The more ads you post the more traffic you get, and the more traffic you get the more sales you make.

So now that you know some of my top affiliate marketing strategies its time for you to go out, and put them into action. You will never make money online if you don’t put in the work, and posting ads and marketing takes time and work.

How To Use Twitter As A Marketing Tool

TwitterTwitter is becoming a huge place for people to visit and socialize with others online. In the past 6 – 12 months Twitter has seen amazing growth, and with that new growth and popularly comes a new marketing tool for all of us marketers to use.

If you’re unfamiliar with Twitter the best way to describe it is like text messaging, but only online. Twitter asks the question “What are you?” You can let your followers instantly know what is you are doing at any giving time.

So how can this help your business?

Well when you make a Twitter account people follow your “tweets” or updates on your Twitter page. So the more people you get to follow your tweets then the more people you can instantly message letting them know about things such as product releases, blog posts, upcoming events etc.

Now imagine if you had a few thousands people following your tweets/updates. Then imagine you sent out a “tweet” or message and said “Just updated my blog at www.yoursite.com comments are welcome.”

All of your followers will then see this message and some (not all) will check out your blog post. This is like almost getting instant free traffic to your website.

Now that you know the basics of how Twitter can help your business grow its time you make your own account. So here is what you have to do.

Step 1 – Visit http://www.twitter.com and create your account for free.

Step 2 – Edit your profile. To do this click on “settings” and edit all the information and make sure to put your website address you are promoting. I recommend using a lead capture page.

Step 3 – Its time to get some followers. In order to get followers fast here is what I recommend you do. Click on the find people link, and type in the name of “gurus” that are in your niche.

If they have a Twitter profile click on their followers and click “follow” on everyone. Why should you do this? Well if the “guru” is in your niche then people following him/her will also be interested in what you have to offer.

For example, if you promote stuff dealing with SEO or Marketing find the “gurus” in the SEO and Marketing industry then see if they have a Twitter profile. If they do their followers will be targeted because they are in interested in SEO and/or Marketing. So this makes for targeted traffic and prospects.

Step 4 – Getting more followers. You are only allowed to follow 2,000 people to start off until you get 2,000 followers on your Twitter account. So in order to get 2,000 followers you need to follow as many people as you can. In this case you will only be able to follow 2,000 people.

Now not all of them will follow you back. Only maybe half or less will. So after about 1 week you need to get rid of the people not following you, because they cannot see your “tweets” or updates. So they are in away useless to you as a marketer.

Each week after you follow the max number of people you can visit this website http://dossy.org/twitter/karma/ and use it to delete the people who are not following you.

Once you delete them its now time to go out and follow more people until you reach 2,000 again. Rinse and repeat this until you have 2,000 people following your tweets.

Now it’s up to you to go out and get your business on Twitter, and start using it as an everyday business tool. Word of warning, do not spam on Twitter, and be social. If you spam your account will get banned, and if your not social with people your marketing efforts will go to waste!
