Making Videos That Sell

Posted in online marketing, online videos, video for websites at 2:32 am

I know it’s been a long time since my last blog post, but I’ve been very busy helping a lot of people and taking some time off with my family for summer vacations. With that said I’ve been doing a TON of research on video marketing and making high quality videos that not only look good, but increase sales.

It’s a proven fact that by having just 1 video on your website you can increase your sales by 12% rather then just having a site jam packed with text. Video will have your customer stay on your website longer, and keep there minds moving.

Let’s face it there are A LOT of sites out there that are just plain old boring, and don’t keep the users attention. With video though you’ll not only keep their attention, but you’ll increase your profits.

Since doing all my research I found a cool place called Web Video University that will take the most basic computer user and have them up and running making professional looking video in just 4 weeks.

I joined and I honestly have to say I’m completely blown away by how simple it is to make videos that you can display on your website or places like YouTube. The best part about this is you can start making these professional looking videos without spending a dime.

You probably already have 99% of the things you need laying around your house and you don’t even know it yet. I’ll be posting a video in a few days that myself and my brother created just to show you an example of some of the cool stuff you can do.

Until then check this place out again its called Web Video University. So if you want to make your self stand out from the rest of the people online this will allow you to do that.

Using Video To Get Traffic To Your Website

Posted in online videos, video for websites, traffic from videos at 1:21 am

When people first started using the internet everyone was amazed by e-mail. That’s how the world would communicate with people, and we still do till this day. After e-mail was a big hit along came audio for websites and that was huge. Now those two are quickly fading away and now video is replacing everything we do online.

Sites like YouTube are dominating the market, and sucking up on the traffic. You though can capitalize on this by putting up videos of your own for millions to see world wide. Video is becoming a very powerful tool to sell things online, so if you sell something then it’s a must to have videos out there.

Here are step-by-step directions to getting traffic from videos.

Step 1 – First you must go out and buy a cheap video camera for your computer. Just visit your local BestBuy and talk to a clerk to see what works best for your needs.

Step 2 – After you have your video camera all setup now its time to record a video. Take some time and prepare yourself. Think about what you’re going to say in your video before you actually make it. You might even want to read from note cards.

Step 3 – Once you’ve successfully made your video its time to upload it to the web for the world to see. You can do this simply buy visiting a site such as YouTube. First though you will need to make an account for free.

Step 4 – This step is not necessary, but I highly recommend you do it if you want your video to be seen by more people. Visit TubeMogul.com and make a free account, and upload your video here. TubeMogul.com will blast out your video to all of the popular video sites free of charge.

Now that you have you video up and on the web here are some extra tips to getting the most traffic out of your videos.

Tip #1 Make sure you mention your website in your video or have a link some place on the page where people can click it and go to your site.

Tip #2 Try to make a video that is fun and exciting to watch. People love funny and stupid videos. If you can hold their attention longer then you increase the chances of them visiting your website.
